Community Dinners

September 2011 Update

On Tuesday, October 18th we will again be serving our free pasta dinners.

We have again been blessed with a generous financial donation to fund these dinners from one of our church family members. MaryBeth Wheelock who has solicited corporation donations for the past two years, has volunteered to do this again. Those donations of food products stretched our financial donations making these dinners completely, self sustaining.

We had an informational and organizational meeting in Fellowship Hall on Tuesday September 13th. We have had a dedicated group of volunteers over the last two years, and we are hoping that the response to volunteer will be as great again this year. If you've helped in the past and would like to just "sign up again" or if you were not able to attend the meeting, please speak to Sandy Countois. We have all areas of need from setting tables to baking to cooking to serving to hostessing, etc.

You will find that you will be blessed as you are a blessing to others.

Some of the local businesses and larger corporations who have sponsored these dinners with food, coupons or financial donations are: The Cookie Factory, Alexis Diner, Barilla, Lucini Italia, The American Legion, Paul Newman Corporation, Paulo Lombardo and Main Care Energy.  If you have the opportunity, please patronize these businesses and thank them while you're there for helping us make these dinners possible.
